Welcome to Salinas!!

Because of Labour Day everything was fully booked, so we had the awesome idea of staying in Salinas, a little town further inland away from the coast, where rooms were (surprisingly) not booked and not so high-priced. We thought we were smarty-pants...

Find the mistake.


Trying not to touch anything except our sleeping bags. It was freezing cold but the sheets had recognisable stains and were clearly not fresh so we rather didn't use them. During the night cars kept pulling up and driving away, doors slamming, people screaming. Makes you dream of better times.

Just gives you this nice cosy feeling of being in the right place..

17-mile scenic drive with 10 miles through the woods and 7 miles along the foggy coast line with scenic spots every 50 meters named 'birds on rocks', 'picknick area next to birds on rocks' 'seals on rocks with birds on rocks' 'rocks with no birds on rocks'...
